Directed by Bruce Neibaur. With Kate Maberly, Jonathan Hernandez, Randall King, Carolyn Hurlburt. Set on a rural farm during the Sixties, this film tells the story of Ira and Oscar, two kids who stay faithful companions despite the racism and prejudice towards Oscar on the farm.
Friendship’s Field is none of that. Moreover, it is graced with excellent direction by Bruce Niebaur, fine cinematography, and unbelievably great acting. For these reasons taken together, over time Friendship’s Field has become my favorite film, and like most people reading this review, I’ve seen many really fine films.

Friendship's Field is a 1995 drama film about overcoming prejudice. Ira has one last summer of freedom before having to work in the beet fields with her sisters. Her father hires some migrant workers, and Ira makes friend with Oscar, a Mexican. Despite prejudice of locals, the two build a lasting friendship.

The term Quaker comes from the group’s physical display of religious fervor during meetings.
